TCL will also acquire new shares of Sinopharm Hundric at a cost of RMB 21.22 million.</P]<P]TCL will hold a 51.8% stake in Sinopharm Hundric when the deal is completed. </P]<P]However, TCL said its investment in Sinopharm Hundric is small and that the firm's key investments will focus on media industries.</P]<P]The investment is in line with the firm's business plan, which was disclosed along with the firm's half-year results. Li Dongsheng, president of TCL, previously said that the firm will invest in new fields such as medical devices and home appliance recycling.</P]<P]Some analysts noted that the investment in medical devices is risky for TCL because it is not familiar with the industry. Meanwhile, TCL's core business is still posting losses.</P]
